Summary

At a recent meeting of stakeholders within the Cardano Ecosystem, a thorough examination of CPS ( Cardano Problem Statements ) generation was conducted. The meeting, which began with a check-in at 17.00 UTC, officially opened and started recording at 17.05 UTC, and concluded with a wrap-up and alignment on action items at 17.55 UTC before closing at 18.00 UTC.

During the meeting, the participants engaged in a wide-ranging and productive discussion about the most pressing issues facing the Cardano Ecosystem, and how CPSs could be used to address them. The discussions centered around a number of key topics, including the scalability issues facing the ecosystem, the scope of the CPSs and the gaps that exist within the ecosystem (i.e. areas that can be improved upon or areas that are already in the backlog of IOG).

One key topic of discussion was the state of decentralized governance within the Cardano Ecosystem. The participants noted that while the ecosystem is well-decentralized in terms of its technical infrastructure, there is still room for improvement when it comes to decentralized governance. To address this issue, the participants discussed the need for a Governance Toolmaker Roundtable, which would be tasked with providing tooling for governance and identifying gaps that can be acted upon and transformed into CPSs.

Another important topic of discussion was the identification and mitigation of risks facing the Cardano Ecosystem. The participants noted that many of these risks are closely tied to the gaps identified earlier, and that if these gaps are not addressed in a timely manner, the risks will increase. Some of the specific risks identified included human capital risk (i.e. the risk of losing people due to a bear market) and the risk of gaps not being solved in a timely manner.

To mitigate these risks, the participants suggested identifying gaps, measuring the likelihood of the gaps occurring, assessing the impact of the gaps, and finding an overall calculated risk of the gaps (low, medium, high).

The meeting also touched on the importance of staying up to date with the state of the developer ecosystem, and the participants recommended starting the discussion with a reference to the https://cardano-foundation.github.io/state-of-the-developer-ecosystem/2022/#
